Recently purchased a car from Direct Cars - it's the first time we've used them and can honestly say the experience was a good one. No pushy sales techniques and the car was presented in really nice condition when we picked it up. We did have a minor issue crop up, but this was dealt with under warranty with no problem. Would definitely use again. One minor point as constructive feedback - the courtesy car was desperate for a clean on the inside. Hadn't been done for a good while.

They didn't really do anything. We had already seen the car online. The salesman refused to even consider reducing the cost even with scratches not visible online. These scratches were also not even looked at to see if they could be resolved even after we requested. No perks offered even though we were cash buyers

Hi Donna, We're saddened to receive only a 3 star review and that you feel like we didn't really do anything, we always endeavour to treat every customer and transaction the same for a seamless car buying experience, no matter how you choose to fund your purchase. In regards to the condition of our vehicles, we always aim prepare to a high standard as possible but unfortunately there may be some slight age related marks that cannot be removed and vehicles are priced in accordance with age, mileage and condition. I can assure you we will have acted on your request but unfortunately they couldn't be fully removed. We however will take your feedback on board and aim to learn from it for the future and we do hope you are enjoying your new car and hopefully see you again soon.

I'm one of those people who doesn't particularly like visiting car salesroom's, but needs must. Direct Cars were excellent. No pressure selling but there when you needed help. Great selection of vehicles.. Particular mention must go to Ian, who was exceptional. If there is a next time buying a car, Direct Cars will be the first place we check. Highly recommended.

We have bought our last 5 cars from here now. They have always been friendly and helpful, we have been loyal to them because they always take care of us and they dont pressure you too much, they let you come to them when you are ready they dont bombard you like some may out there. We will continue to buy our cars from here as they have always done well for us not only for sales but also service and MOTs as well.

Went to have a look at some of their cars, there was no salesman trying to badger us. We were left in peace to look round. When we selected our car the salesman was very polite and there was no pressure to buy. All in all a very good experience.

Friendly staff, straight forward exchange and went out of their way when there was an issue with my new car. Would suggest hot drinks available as currently only water.

Came in with a car in mind, was seen to very quickly and once we had a look over the car decided there and then it was the one for us and the process of getting it was seen to swiftly and was never left wondering what the next step was. Great service.

This is my 4th car from Direct cars Its such an easy task,there's no pressure salesmen you just look round at your leisure The staff are always on hand to help if needed. Their prices are very reasonable The whole car buying and after sales experience is top notch Highly recommended

Disappointing, would not recommend. When placing my deposit, I explained that I would be flying over to England to purchase the car and driving it to the boat to bring it home to Northern Ireland. I asked if it was possible to view the car on the Sunday and complete the transaction at 9am on the Monday which Luke advised was not a problem, Luke did not tell us he doesn’t start work to 9.30am which we found out from another salesman on the Sunday. We were also advised we could not purchase the car at the weekend as they did not have an accountant on site. When we arrived on the Sunday, the car was not valeted, there was a fault on the dash, poorly fixed chip marks on the bonnet, a discoloured skirt and a dent on the passenger door along a curve making it easily seen. I had spoke with Luke and another salesman on two different occasions and had asked if there was anything I should be aware of any bumps or scratches and was assured there was nothing that couldn’t be seen in the photos or wasn’t as a result of wear and tear. Bearing in mind as soon as the deposit was taken the advert with all of the photos was no longer accessible. I requested the photos when viewing the car on the Sunday and was provided with them the following day and the dent was not visible. £100 was discounted for the dent however on consulting a bodywork specialist it will cost far above that to rectify. Luke advised that they have a guy who deals with dents and that they could call him first thing Monday morning but could not guarantee he could attend or fix before we needed to go to get the boat. Deposit had been taken on the 8th and this was now the 20th and I was reassured that the car would be ready for when I arrived. I left on Sunday afternoon deflated but reassured that the car valet would look at the bonnet chips and skirt and that the mechanic would correct the fault. When placing my deposit and asking about how long was left on the MOT, Luke advised that the car had no current MOT and that I would need to buy a pre delivery package at £99 to cover the MOT and any work that was required. In fact this is not the case, on the direct cars website it states, “All cars sold that have less than 6 months remaining on their MOT certificate will automatically get an MOT before collection”. I had to ask for the vehicle history check which should have been included in the pre delivery package and wasn’t eligible for the loyalty card due to residing in Northern Ireland. On Monday morning the bonnet chips had been repaired and appeared to a good standard, the dash fault had been cleared, only to come back after our first stop, we were advised the skirt discolouration could not be fixed and as a gesture of goodwill was given a full tank of fuel. I’ve never bought a car and had to take it to not only a bodywork specialist but a mechanic too after arriving home. I will not be dealing with Direct Cars again; it has left a sour taste in my mouth and ruined what should have been an enjoyable, exciting experience.

Hello Diane, We’re sorry to hear you were left disheartened with your recent experience. In regard to the vehicle description, we endeavour to prepare all our cars to a high standard. However, as they are pre-owned vehicles, some age-related marks such as light stone chips or small parking dents are to be expected on a four-year-old car. While there was no significant damage or scratches, we do accept that we could have described these minor imperfections more clearly, and we will take this as a valuable lesson for the future. With regard to the small dent, this could have been rectified by our paintless dent removal specialist at a small cost, but unfortunately, we could not guarantee this would be completed in time for your collection. For this reason, we offered you an additional £100 reduction on top of the discount already applied, which you accepted at the time. The £99 Pre-Delivery Package you opted for is an optional service, which includes a service, 12 months’ MOT with advisories addressed, 10 litres of fuel, valet, HPI check, and a loyalty card offering discounts on future servicing. Had you not chosen this package, the vehicle would still have been MOT’d, as it had expired, and we apologise if this was not explained as clearly as it should have been. Regarding the warning light that appeared at the time of viewing, this was inspected by our technician and no fault was found. If the light has reappeared since, please contact us so that we can look into this further for you. As for weekend collection, we were unable to facilitate this because payment could only be processed once you had viewed the vehicle and decided to proceed. These checks must be completed by our accounts team, who are available Monday to Friday. Once you explained your ferry times to Luke on the Sunday, he kindly offered to start work earlier than usual on Monday morning (9–9:30am instead of 10am) so you could begin your journey sooner. Finally, when we understood you were disappointed on the day of collection, we offered a full tank of fuel as a goodwill gesture, which you accepted. Once again, we apologise that your experience did not meet your expectations. At the time, we felt you had left satisfied with the outcome, but we will take all of your feedback on board for future improvements. Despite this, we sincerely hope you are enjoying your new vehicle and wish you all the best for the future. – The Direct Cars Team

I recently bought a used car from Direct Cars and was very pleased with the experience overall. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful and everything was explained clearly to me. There was no pressure selling and my family and I were able to inspect the car by ourselves; and I was offered the option of trying the car out on the yard behind the car showroom, which for me was preferable to taking a car out onto the roads when I was not familiar with the controls. As the car was due an MOT, this was done plus a sevice and all the advisory work was done free of charge, they also put in a new Cam belt. When I'd got the car home I noticed an issue whith the clutch, I was told to bring the car back in, repairs were done promptly despite it being a bank holiday weekend and free of charge as it was under warranty for a month from Direct Cars. I would definitely buy a car again from this dealer.
