I had been putting off buying a new car for a few months due to the hassle normally involved, however Ian the salesman who I dealt with made the experience very easy and pleasant. I had booked the test drive in advance so when I arrived was taken straight to the car which had been reserved for me. There was no pressure to buy straight away, I was able to sleep on it overnight and ring up the next day to pay the deposit. Staff were friendly, would definitely buy from them again.

Our salesman was very relaxed at we didn't feel at all pressured. The sales process was quick and efficient and didn't feel that it had been contrived to part us with our cash against all odds (we'd had a very poor experience at another place earlier the same day). The only disappointment was that when we collected our car we found that one of the keys was quite badly damaged and we felt that this should probably have been pointed out before the sale.

Messed about from start to finish, made it almost impossible for me to purchase my car. Wouldnt buy another car through Direct Cars.

I'm sorry you were not satisfied with the level of service you received. As far as I can tell the sales process went well. You found a car you liked and we arranged to take your old vehicle in as part exchange. The only part I can recall we had difficulty was obtaining you credit. This is sadly beyond our control. We have a large panel of lenders, all with different requirements, and there is no defined list of questions they may ask. This means when they have a question or concern we have to forward that question on to you and forward on your response. If they then decide that they're unable to provide credit, we have to move on to the next provider and the process starts again. The sales agent was a pleasure to deal with. No fuss or pressure sales tactics. The car was prepared to a very good standard and the service team went the extra mile replacing brake discs pads and front tyres under goodwill. Very impressed and enjoying my new motor.

I bought the car I wanted at a good price, and when I was given the keys there was only one set. On receiving the log book I went to Volkswagen to get a second key and was astounded to be told it would cost £204.14. I approached the man who sold me the car and told him I was not happy with this. I did not expect a full refund so I suggested a free service/MOT when the car came in for it's first MOT/service. After consulting his boss this was agreed and I am now happy. As a family we have bought 7 cars from Eckington/Chesterfield Motor Co. and Direct Cars. I have always recommended my sons to consider you and indeed on the day I made my purchase my youngest son also bought a car. After sales service is where reputations are made and lost and you did well. I, and my sons, will continue to give you preference when purchasing cars.

Sales people were very good. Not to pushy and friendly. I found a fault when I got home and went back the next day to see them about it. They ordered a new part and I am actually there now waiting for them to fit it. The only criticism is that they didn't spot the fault before it was sold to me.

Throughout my experience the staff were friendly and helpful. I was not hassled when looking at the cars, and i only had to ask a member of staff for more details. When purchasing my car everything was explained to me, and were happy to answer my questions.
